The Power & Importance Of Prayer

Maybe you know that feeling when you want to pray, but you're too lazy to do it.

It happens to me very often. I want to do it, but despite of that I start to do something else what takes me all day. It's like the devil in my ear saying "it's just a few words, how you can help someone with them?"

Because of this, I started to think about the power of prayer.

Have you ever been insulted by someone? Praised? Or underestimated?
I have. And I bet you too. And you certainly know how these words influenced you. Words may make you happy or completely ruin your day.

That means words do have a power. That's why I know that prayer has a power.
Especially when you pray with all your heart.

This experience happens to me very often when I don't pray:
I feel empty inside and sad from everything. It's such a horrible feeling that physical pain is probably better.
I feel like that feeling eats me alive. 
Then, when I start to pray, it's like a medicine. After prayer, I feel such an unexplainable peace and happiness in my heart and soul that I bet drugs are nothing compared with this feeling.
It's like heaven on earth. It's a priceless feeling and I have a need to thank God million times.
I wish everyone to experience that feeling.

What does God say about the world?

1 John 2:15-17 
¹⁵ "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. ¹⁶ For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. ¹⁷ The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever."

So, that's why I have those bad feelings when I don't pray - I don't have any power against the prince of this world (the devil). I can't defend myself, because he is a fallen angel and he has much power.
I cannot fight with him.


Of course, his power is nothing compared to God's power.
And if God is for us, who can ever be against us?

So, now I know that without God and prayer, this world and the devil would destroy me.
